AECP Level 1 Seasonal Scene Building

As I am a bibliophile, and know several others with the same affliction, I chose to use Altenew’s Tall Tale stamp set. I started by using acrylic blocks and masks, but too many times I stamped inaccurately, so I switched to my Misty and quickly made three card fronts with zero mishaps! I then colored one with Altenew’s Woodless Watercolor Pencils, a process I always enjoy, however I awoke in the morning realizing I didn’t like the background walls and flooring and wanted a more watercolor-like card.

The next card I liked a lot more, but didn’t like how I had done the left side of the floor:

Okay, I’m learning from my mistakes! The third card I liked the coloring/watercoloring and felt like Goldilocks! This one is just right! As the paper was just a little warped, I decided to mount it on blue foam and then mounted this on a card base whose front I had colored with a same color as on the card.

Which card do you prefer?

  1. No matter how many versions or variations you create, the thing is that you enjoyed creating it 🙂 And I love how adorable the cards look. Especially the layers, and the way they give a framed look. Well done!
Thank you so much for submitting your wonderful work to the AECP assignment gallery.
